At the center of Hunters Creek is a Publix for the residents grocery shopping. There are also a few restaurants within the community, but the majority of the restaurants in the area are located just outside of the community at either the Loop with is a shopping center located just over the county line in Kissimmee, 15-20 minutes away in Dr Phillips or near the Florida Mall. There is also a Target for household shopping items. International Drive is a short 15 minute drive away which also has lots of restaurant options.

Hunters Creek has both an Elementary and a Middle School within its borders: Hunter Creek Elementary and Hunters Creek Middle School. But, Hunters Creek is so large that there are two additional elementary schools for the community: West Creek Elementary and Endeavor Elementary. The local high school is outside of the community to the North, Freedom High School, which is a newer school. All of the schools currently have good grades and are well liked by parents.

Hunters Creek also has a full 18 hole golf course which is centrally located among the community with lush green long rolling fairways.

The Homeowner’s Association fees vary depending on the community. Some of the older subdivisions in the community have cheaper association fees while the newer homes have much higher association fees. The gated and guarded communities have higher association fees. It is a good idea to verify the fee for any home that you are looking at to make sure you have the correct fee. It is very important to check the association by-laws as the community does enforce their rules. Some of the restrictions include no street parking overnight, no commercial vehicles etc. In order to enjoy the amenities, you must be a resident of the community. Guards and Patrols check for decals to make sure that there are not non-residents coming to play.

Hunters Creek is located in a great place. It is just minutes from SeaWorld, Walt Disney World, and about 20 minutes (due to traffic) from Universal Studios. It has quick access to the major highways. Both 417 and 528 are only minutes from Hunters Creek. Both of these, feed into the other major highways of the Turnpike, Interstate 4 and the 408 making for easy commutes.

Some other nearby communities that enjoy the same shopping and are very close to Hunters Creek. Many residents in these areas purchased to be close to Hunters Creek without having to pay the higher homeowner’s association dues. Some of these communities enjoy the same schools while others do not. These communities include Deerfield, Peppermill, Ginger Mill, Whisper Lakes, Sky Lake South, and Crystal Creek. The majority of these were communities were built prior to the formation of the Hunters Creek development. Deerfield, Peppermill, Ginger Mill, Crystal Lake, and part of Whisper Lakes enjoy the newer John Young Elementary School and Freedom Middle School with the same high school as Hunters Creek, Freedom High. The rest of Whisper Lakes and Sky Lake South Waterbridge Elementary with is also Freedom Middle School and Freedom High School.

The homes within Hunters Creek range from the first homes built in the late 80’s to brand new homes, town homes, and condominiums. There are homes in various price ranges within the community and just outside of the community. Homes on lakes and golf course tend to be higher price.
